The Youngest Female Shodan Kendoka in South Africa

"The Youngest Female Shodan Kendoka in South Africa". That is the title Rivona Kendo Club (RKC) member, Aura NAIDOO, is going for! At just 14 years old, if she is successful in her shodan (1st dan) examination, she will have earned that title!

Aura had started kendo when she was 12 years old. She had come to the dojo to watch her father, Logan NAIDOO, do kendo. By doing so, she sparked the kendo fire within herself!

Recently, Caxton's Sandton Chronicles ran an article about Aura and her Kendo journey. Take read of the original article here: https://sandtonchronicle.co.za/282055/moving-up-the-kendo-ranks/

Earlier during the year, a short interview video was also made with Aura. Here is that video:

Wishing Aura all the best in her shodan challenge at the end of the year!
